A new Renfrew County Triage and Assessment Centre officially opened in Eganville on Dec. 5.
The clinic will run every second Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Paramedics will be available at the clinic to conduct in-person assessments and if necessary, connect patients with a physician by phone or video.
Paramedics working in clinical assessment centres also receive specialized training to assess patients with ear, nose, throat, or upper respiratory concerns.
Renfrew County currently has assessment centres in Arnprior, Renfrew, Petawawa and Pembroke.
