Bancroft’s Field Naturalists club meets tonight, invites ‘mystery items’

Have you been wondering why that squirrel in your yard has been acting strange?
Or what those animal tracks you’ve never seen before are?
You may be able to get those questions answered tonight.
Bancroft Field Naturalists club is inviting people to bring their ‘mystery items’ to their first meet of the year.

“If you have questions about any nature items, sightings, or photos, please bring them along and we’ll do our best to figure them out,” the club said.

“We also invite you to try your best to fool us. Please forward any photos to Karin Dietrich at [email protected] so she can arrange to have them displayed on screen.”

The Naturalists club meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 168 Hastings Street at the Child and Youth Hub from 7-9 p.m.

Various outings will be announced at Tuesday’s meeting.

January is also membership month and fees are due.

The cost is $20 for individual members and $30 for couples and families.

Some administration details will be covered at the meeting, such as reviewing financial status, and electing the 2025 executive.
