The Maple Leaf Snow Skimmers (MLSS) are letting sledders know that there is a washout on the snow bridge on the E109 between MLSS 178 and 179.
They have made this portion of the trail unavailable and are assembling a repair team.
For those wanting to go to the Paudash Trail Blazers annual cookout tomorrow, consider detouring via Baptiste Lake.
To do so the Snow Skimmers say:
Turn south onto MLSS 179 (by the outhouse and tourism board, there should be paper maps there.).
Follow the 179 to Baptiste Lake (no road running required). Continue following the 179 staked trail to the 181 staked lake trail.
Take it to the 181A staked lake trail to the PTBSC612.
The Maple Leaf Snow skimmers say to stay on the staked trail.
“It steers you clear of a frozen pressure crack in the middle of the lake.”
