The first Madawaska Ice Fest is happening this weekend.
The event is put on by the Alpine Club of Canada and features ice climbing clinics at locations throughout our region, including Diamond Lake near Combermere and Bow Lake in Faraday.
The event home base will be at the Arlington Hotel in Maynooth with the festival starting today (Friday) and going until Sunday.
