An information session for Ontario Power Generation (OPG) that was postponed earlier in the year due to weather will take place tomorrow in Barry’s Bay.
OPG representative Jennifer Gardiner says OPG holds information sessions yearly to discuss local power, water levels and answer any questions.
“Folks come in and we talk about our hydroelectric operations along the Madawaska River. They learn about Bark Lake, Kaminiskeg and the other hydroelectric facilities downriver so people can ask questions about how water moves down through the system. We spend quite a bit of time talking about spring melt.”
The info session takes place March 19 from 7-9 p.m. at the Barry’s Bay Legion.
