Local businesses were recently celebrated at the Best in Business Awards, an event that honoured community spirit, innovation and commitment among entrepreneurs in North Hastings.
The awards, shaped by public nominations and votes, highlighted the value residents place on the local businesses that serve their communities.
Among those recognized were Highway Garden Centre, Country Bargain Store, North Hastings Family Pharmacy, Tweed & Company Theatre, and The Old Hastings Mercantile & Gallery.
Representatives from each business accepted their awards in person and had the opportunity to connect with fellow business owners and community supporters.
Organizers thanked the public for their involvement and acknowledged the support of the Community Futures Development Corporation (CFDC) of North & Central Hastings and South Algonquin for providing grant funding to make the event possible.
The celebration was held this week at the Wattle & Daub Café, with food provided by the café.
