Bancroft OPP have charged one person with refusal to comply with a demand.
On Monday, just after 11:30 p.m., OPP were conducting traffic patrol on Highway 62 North in Hastings Highlands, where they observed a vehicle with safety concerns.
An approved screening device was used during the stop, and the driver taken back to the detachment for further testing.
A 23-year-old resident of Killaloe is charged with refusal to comply with a demand.
The driver’s license of the accused is suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for seven days. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft next month.
