The first North Hastings Hospital Auxiliary Catch the Ace draw took place at the corner cafe last Thursday and the name Tom Rank was announced as the Week One winner.
The call to Rank to let him know of his win was posted to the Hospital Auxiliary Facebook page, and you can go to the page to watch auxiliary president Donna Federov share the exciting news.
“You got to be kidding me?!” You can hear rank saying, adding “Son of a gun, I can’t believe it!”
Rank went on to say the win was great timing as he had to have a tree cut down and the funds would now cover the cost.
Tickets for Catch the Ace progressive Lottery are now on sale at local business with the week two draw happening Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Corner Cafe.
