The Highlands East fire department has confirmed a fire that burned down the Harcourt Community Centre started in the ceiling.
The fire happened on Sunday, and there is still no word on what caused the fire.
No one was hurt.
Fire Chief Bill Wingrove says the building was fully engulfed within a half hour.
Wingrove says due to the buildings history, it will have a massive impact on the community.
Dysart’s Fire Chief Miles Maughan estimates the damage to be around 400,000 dollars.
