Kids in Need Toy Drive for 2014

Bancroft and Area Kids in Need, in partnership with the Bancroft OPP, Highland Shores Children’s Aid Society, MOOSE FM, local merchants and community volunteers, tries to make sure that every child in the area will have a Christmas present under their tree on Christmas morning. The Toy Drive program is designed to help low income families living in Faraday, Wollaston, Limerick, Cashel, Carlow-Mayo Townships, as well as the Municipalities of Hastings Highlands and Highlands East and the Town of Bancroft. This year families in need can register children 12 years of age or less, (born 2002 to present) for the program. Registration will be held at the Bancroft OPP detachment on the following dates and times:

• Tuesday December 02nd from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
• Wednesday December 03rd from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
• Thursday December 04th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
• Tuesday December 09th between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.
• Wednesday December 10th between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.
• Thursday December 11th between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.

The permanent custodial parent or legal guardian must come to the OPP detachment in person to complete the form. They must show proof of where they live, and that they have custody of the child they are registering. The child must be a permanent resident of the areas mentioned above to be registered in the program.

New, unwrapped toys can be donated at Canadian Tire, The Red Apple, I.D.A, Foodland, Shoppers Drug Mart, the TD bank, Scotiabank and Kawartha Credit Union in both Bancroft and Coe Hill, from now until the 12th of December. Bancroft and Area Kids in Need (KIN) is a registered charity and can issue tax receipts
