To celebrate 30 years of music at NHHS under the leadership of Dianne (Garbutt) Winmill, NHHS music alumni are invited back to the NHHS music room and cafeteria for a reunion and for some music-making, if they so choose.
The event is on June 1 beginning at NOON with a meet-and-greet in the NHHS music room and cafeteria with light refreshments provided. At 1 p.m., any alumni wishing for an “old-times’-sake” choir practice will enjoy a 1 hour rehearsal in the cafeteria with Dianne, the music of which will also be performed at the end of the evening’s Alumni Benefit Concert. From 2:15-4:30, instrumentalists can re-experience their old band instruments in the music room (reeds provided) and if it sounds ok, they may even play as a group at the evening’s Alumni Benefit Concert! 4:30-6:30 allows old friends to reunite for dinner on their own terms.
At 7 p.m., the NHHS Alumni Benefit Concert will take place at The Village Playhouse to benefit the next generation of musicians in the form of an infusion of funds to NHHS’s Vince Childs Memorial Instrument Repair Fund. After the concert, alumni are welcome to continue the fun at the Bancroft Brew pub on their own terms. This is a reunion event to not be missed!
