An event every day that begins at 12:00am, repeating until July 9, 2017
Bancroft’s Wheels Water & Wings Festival is happening Friday, July 7th, through Sunday July 9th. A midway will set up through the weekend at the HUB, beside the I.D.A drug store in downtown Bancroft.
Friday night features the annual Bancroft Cruises Classic Car Show from 5:30 – 10pm, downtown on Hastings Street. “The Shantyman” Sean McCann – formerly of Great Big Sea, performs at the Village Playhouse at 6:30pm – tickets sold separately. There’s also a free concert at the HUB from 7-10pm, featuring Cruisin, a 50’s & 60’s rock and roll band.
On the Saturday, Paddle the York, with registration getting underway at 9am at Heart of the Park. Kids can take part in the soap box box derby on Flint Avenue at 11:30am. They’ll have an open mic at the HUB stage from 1-5pm, bring your instrument or karaoke. The Rat Rod – Hot Rod Show & Shine will run from 5-7pm. The night winds down with a free concert at the HUB from 7-11pm with the band Trilogy.
On the Sunday, head to the fly-in breakfast at the Bancroft Community Airport from 8am-noon. Paddle the York with registration getting underway at 8am at Heart of the Park. There will also be a Motorcycle Show & Shine from noon till 4pm. They’ll also have a free concert at the HUB from 12:30-2:30pm with the band Swiftkick.
