Environment Canada calling for possible severe thunderstorm

Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the Bancroft area.

The weather agency is calling for thunderstorms to develop ahead of a cold front making its way to the region this afternoon or evening.

It could cause strong winds, large hail, and heavy rain, which could damage buildings, down trees and blow large vehicles off the road.

You are being reminded severe thunderstorms can cause tornadoes, and you should go inside if you hear roaring thunder.
