Get your shovels ready, a snow storm is about to blow through the region.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Bancroft and Hastings Highlands area.
Environment Canada’s Meteorologist Gerald Cheng explains what’s expected across Eastern Ontario.
“For Eastern Ontario, it’s going to be mostly a snow event, ” he says. “Right now we’re expecting 15 to 25 centimetres of snow. Thursday, during the day, you’ll be fine. The system will start Thursday evening, after the commute.
“When you wake up Friday morning, it will be snowy, a blanket of white. So, on Friday, if you can work from home, do work from home.”
The special weather statement says there will be reduced visibility and people should consider postponing non-essential travel.
