McDonald’s employees get owners to Back the Cat

Two employees at the Bancroft McDonald’s made a plea for the restaurant’s owners to support their community. The owners said they’re “lovin’ it.”

Jacquie LeBlond and Janet Hass responded to a call from owners Jamie Campbell and Terri Van Zant to give suggestions on local causes worth supporting ahead of the holiday season.

Hass and LeBlond wrote passionate appeals to support the Back the Cat campaign. The appeal was so heartfelt that the owners delivered a $1,000 donation last week.  LeBlond wrote that her own family has needed strong health care in Bancroft in the past, and she believes a new CT scanner will have incredible benefits for her family and the whole community.

The Back the Cat campaign is North Hastings Fund Development Committee’s drive to fundraise for a new CT scanner at North Hastings Hospital. The CT scanners is now on site and services are being phased in, but the committee is still accepting donations, to cover construction and other expenses linked to its arrival.
