Ribbon cutting will celebrate updates to Hospice North Hastings

There are new accessible doors, a ramp and a patio at Hospice North Hastings, and that’s  cause for a little celebration.

The hospice will host a ribbon cutting on Thursday (Aug. 7), beginning at 1 p.m.

Officials say the hospice is all about trying to fulfill wishes of patients and families during those last days.

The new doors and patio will allow them to take patients outside on sunny days to enjoy the warmth of the sun.

Funding was provided by the Federal Enabling Accessibility Fund and Bancroft 100 Women Who Care.

Hastings—Lennox and Addington MP Shelby Kramp-Neuman will attend to cut the ribbon.
