Recycling pickup postponed due to icy conditions

E360 has postponed recycling pickup in Bancroft Monday after the town declared a significant weather event yesterday.

They say the pickup scheduled for today will now be completed on Jan. 3.

Environment Canada’s weather warning for yesterday’s ice storm has ended, but a special weather statement remains in effect for strong winds up to 70 km/h today.

They say combined with the ice buildup from the freezing rain, the wind could lead to utility outages and property damage.

The wind is expected to ease tonight.
