Bancroft Crusaders entering last stretch of fundraising for Relay for Life

The Bancroft Crusaders’ Relay for Life fundraising campaign in support of the Canadian Cancer Society is well underway, with their yard sale event coming up soon.

Team Captain Druscilla Hannah said they fundraise almost all year, starting in September and finishing with the relay in the park event in June at Millennium Park.

The yard sale is set for April 18 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Johns Anglican Church.

Hannah said they take donations of everything except large furniture for the yard sale.

Last year, the Crusaders raised more than $54,000, and Hannah says they’ll be looking to raise around $50,000 again this year.

The Crusaders hold monthly euchre and bingo events, and there is also a used book sale on all the time at Hannah Lithographers.

Hannah said the Crusaders appreciate all the support they’ve received so far, and are looking forward to the relay June 13.
