A Bancroft councillor will now also be part of the PC Ontario Natural Resources and Forestry Policy and Action Committee.
Councillor Tracy McGibbon says she is taking on the role to get more involved.
McGibbon says she has been involved in the forestry industry for over 22 years, which is experience she can use as part of the committee.
McGibbon says, as a life-long North Hastings resident, she has an understanding of the industries built on natural resources in the area, including forestry, mining, aggregate, hunting, fishing, and conservation.
