A number of schools in the Bancroft area will be raising money for cancer research today, as they host their Terry Fox Runs.
York River, Bird’s Creek, Herman, and Coe Hill public schools will all be hosting their Terry Fox Runs.
Organizer of the run at Bird’s Creek Public School Rob Metzger tells Moose FM the school has a long history of taking part in the Terry Fox Run.
Metzger says the school is trying to raise $2,000 this year, which would mean it has raised a total of over $50,000 in its history of doing the Terry Fox Run.
