Bancroft residents are being invited to have their say on the possible sale of the Dungannon Landfill.
Recently, council voted in favour of looking into the potential benefits of selling the dump. The town is battling its current debt, including a $2-million water and sewer deficit.
Organizer of the Save the Dump movement Wilma Brethour says it’s important for the town to keep the landfill because most of its assets are not worth much.
Brethour says she has organized a meeting to find a way for the town to keep the dump.
The meeting is being held this Sunday at the Dungannon Recreation Centre from 2:30pm to 4:30pm.
