The Bancroft Area Stewardship Council is launching an initiative to stop illegal dumping across the province.
Chair Steve Wilkins says the council has designed posters that will be sold to Ontario’s municipalities to spread the word that illegal dumping hurts the province’s natural assets.
The council will unveil these posters at Bancroft’s Heart of the Park today from 11:30am until 1:00pm.
Wilkins says you should report anyone you catch illegally dumping.
The initiative is a partnership with Crime Stoppers and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry.
