Bancroft Community Airport unveils renovations

Over $160,000 worth of renovations have been made to the Bancroft Community Airport’s hangar.

The much needed renovations to the more than 50-year-old building were unveiled today, and were made possible thanks to a Canada 150 grant and the airport’s fundraising efforts.

Secretary Gary Gaudreau says the old building was completely gutted to install new insolation, while Airport Manager Pat Murdock says other renovations include a new roof, cement floor and fireplace. Murdock says renovations were also made to install an accessible washroom and renovated kitchen in the clubhouse.
