Bancroft Council will be moving forward with steps to find a contractor for the town’s water and sewer systems in the future.
Council will receive a report on the subject, along with results from a request for proposal it had put out to find a new contractor. The information will include which companies have put forward their names to operate, maintain, and manage the systems.
A contract will not be awarded during the meeting, but this will help the town enter into the final stages of negotiations.
The Ontario Clean Water Agency currently operates the systems, but its contract runs out at the end of 2017.
