2016 sunshine list features hundreds from the area

The 2016 sunshine list includes over 350 local public sector employees who made over $100,000 last year.
The sunshine list was released last Friday, and includes 174 Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board employees, and 81 with the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board. The highest paid employee in the public board was Director of Education Mandy Savory-Whiteway, who made almost $200,000, while Director of Education with the Catholic Board Jody Dirocco made over $204,000.
The list also includes 82 Quinte Health Care employees, the highest paid being President and CEO Mary Clare Egberts, who made over $331,000. Hastings and Prince Edward Public Health has 11 employees on the list, while the Bancroft Family Health Team has one.
Twenty-one Hastings County employees also made the list, the highest paid being CAO Jim Pine who brought in over $266,000. Both the municipality of Highlands East and Hastings Highlands each have one employee on the list.
