Hastings Highlands Council is taking steps to make sure everyone is obeying the municipality’s parking and dumping bylaws.
Bylaw Enforcement Officer Mike Priestly says the municipality will be stepping up enforcement and targeting those illegally parking in handicapped spots in Maynooth.
Priestly also presented information to council, that between May 13th and June 15th, over 150 bags of garbage were illegally dumped in the municipality. He says he is in talks with Crime Stoppers about what the municipality can do about it.
If you’re caught illegally dumping in Hastings Highlands, you could be fined $200.
