Benefits of the Rockhound Gemboree extend across Hastings County

Day two of the 54th Annual Rockhound Gemboree in Bancroft rolls on tomorrow.

The annual gem and mineral show runs until Sunday, and will feature vendors, tours, events, and activities for kids.

Bancroft’s Acting Mayor Paul Jenkins says this type of event highlights what the town is all about.

Hastings County Warden Rodney Cooney says the benefits of the Gemboree go well beyond the town, but extend throughout the region.

The Gemboree runs until Sunday at the North Hastings Community Centre and the Bancroft Curling Club. If you’re heading out to the events, doors at the Bancroft Curling Club open at 9:30am every day, while the North Hastings Community Centre opens at 10:00am. Most days, the event will run until 6:00pm, except for Sunday, when it closes at 5:00pm.
