North Hastings High School’s Alphabet Club will be receiving a symbol of support from the community tomorrow.
The Gay-Straight Alliance at the local high school will be receiving a rainbow flag signed by members of the North Hastings community. United Church Reverend Lynn Watson says the goal was to get as many signatures as possible from those wanting to show support for youth struggling with their sexual identities.
Watson says this is an important symbol for local youth part of the LGBTQ community.
The Alphabet Club will receive the flag tomorrow at 11:30am at North Hastings High School. The club will be able to decide what to do with it from there.
