Crash in Algonquin Park prompts winter driving reminder

Police are reminding you to be ready for winter driving conditions after a vehicle slid off the road in Algonquin Park.

Killaloe OPP says a vehicle hit a guardrail on Highway 60 on Sunday afternoon. Nobody was hurt, and no charges were laid.

But Constable Catherine Yarmel says drivers need to be ready for challenging conditions for at least a few more weeks.

Yarmel also says it’s not too late to put snow tires on your vehicle.

The province says insurance companies have to give you a discount if you have snow tires on your vehicle.
