The Bancroft Brewing Co. will be able to expand thanks to a federal grant.
Earlier today, the MP for Hastings-Lennox and Addington Mike Bossio announced that the local brewery will receive nearly $87,000 from the Community Futures Development Corporation of North & Central Hastings and South Algonquin. Bossio says this will allow the company to install six brewing tanks, adding to the four it already has. It will also help buy an automated control system and a cooler. Bossio says these funds will go a long way.
Bossio says the company will be able to expand beyond the town’s border once it starts brewing more beer.
The brewery will have to match the funds put in by the local CFDC. Co-owner and Brew Master Logan Krupa tells Moose FM that he is thankful for the support he has received from the federal government over the past few months. Krupa says without it, there’s no way the company would be where it is today.
