Man accused of trying to sell drugs to police officer has been charged

A Highlands East man accused of trying to sell drugs to an off-duty police officer has been charged.

It happened at a business in Bancroft on the evening of April 14th. Bancroft OPP says the officer didn’t accept the drugs, but made police aware of what happened.

The accused was found with methamphetamine on Hastings Street North soon after. The 22-year-old now faces possession charges. He’ll appear in Bancroft court on May 15th.
