If you want to buy a home in Bancroft, you may have to pay more than ever.
That’s according to a report from the Bancroft and Area Association of Realtors, which says homes sold in Bancroft in April went for just over $340,000 on average. That tally is just over 14% higher than it was a year ago and is the highest average price ever in Bancroft.
The number of home sales were down compared to 2017 however as 41 homes were sold in April, about 16% lower than in 2017. However, this is still around the five and ten year averages for the month of April.
The biggest decline in the April report comes from residential listings. According to the association, at the end of April, 134 units were listed which is nearing a 30-year-low for the area and is down almost 30% from 2017.
