It was a record breaking year for the CFDC of North & Central Hastings and South Algonquin and that means good things for local business.
The CDFC offer services to small, local businesses both financially and with 1-on-1 counseling. This year 60 loans were given out to businesses for a total of $3.5 million. Add that to the over $44 million that has been loaned to businesses since the CFDC’s inception.
Mary Lynn Rutledge is the Corporation’s Executive Director. The CFDC helped create and maintain 105 jobs this year. She spoke with us about how important keeping jobs local is to the CFDC.
The CFDC also offers 1-on-1 counselling to 168 additional businesses. They will advise you on how to start your business or give you tips on how to market your business to help it grow.
