Construction work on Highway 28 will be starting in a few weeks.
Starting on August 7th, construction crews will be tearing up the Highway from where it connects to Bancroft to Hardwood Lake where you turn to go towards Denbigh. Paving was scheduled to begin on the 13th after the road has been torn up, but the rain has pushed that back. Bonnie Robertson, the Heavy Civil Project Coordinator with Tomlinson Construction, says a rescheduled date is unknown at this time.
When construction begins, one lane will stay open, but you should expect to see delays.
The Highway construction is expected to be completed by the end of September.
