A new company will take over Highway maintenance in Ontario.
The sale of Carillion Canada to B.C. owned Emcon Services has been approved by an Ontario court. This means that Emcon will take over Carillion’s seven Highway maintenance contracts in Ontario, which includes Bancroft. The sale includes, along with the contracts, most of Carillion’s equipment and their staff.
Carillion Canada is now under creditor protection.
In a statement to My Bancroft Now, the Ministry of Transportation say there will be no impact to service.
