Parked Cars Interfering with Snow Removal

The OPP is reminding you that a vehicle parked on a highway poses not only an inconvenience to snow removal equipment but a danger to other vehicles having to pass by it on the highway. The Highway Traffic Act (HTA) does not allow for vehicles to be parked or stopped on a highway in a manner that would interfere with the movement of traffic or clearing of snow from the highway. You could be fined and have your car towed. You would also be responsible for all costs and charges for the removal, care, and storage of the vehicle.
