There will be planned Hydro One outages this weekend in Bancroft and the surrounding area.
The outages are from 8 AM to 4 PM this Sunday.
The Townships affected are:
- Tudor and Cashel
- Limerick
- North Kawartha
- Wollaston
- Effingham Lake
- Faraday
- Ashby
- Cardiff
- Bancroft
- Hastings Highlands
- Carlow-Mayo
In total, over 8,500 Hydro One customers may be without Hydro while the installation work is being done.
Businesses in the area may be affected as well. If the business is attached to the line where the work is being done, their Hydro may be out while the installation is being done.

The planned outage is because Hydro One will be working on replacing wooden hydro poles in the area. They need to be switched out once every 50-60 years. New switches will be installed as well.
