Bancroft council approved a 1.75-percent pay increase Tuesday to reflect an increase in consumer price index and falls in-line with the increase included in the collective agreement for the Town’s unionized employees.
In 2020, the Mayor will make $30,895.68, a $531.38 jump from the position’s previous salary, while the Deputy Mayor will make $21,555.65, which means $370.74 has been added to their paycheque. Councillors will make $16.831.81 each, which is a $289.49 increase.
In total, the bump in pay means Bancroft council will be making – collectively – $1,191.61 more this year than they did last year.
