Live Nativity with live animals coming to Maynooth and area

It’s the nativity story, with attention to detail.

A live Nativity will be put on this weekend by the Maynooth Madawaska Communities of Faith of the United Church. On December 18th and 19th from 3 PM until 5 PM, families will be able to sign up for a 30-minute walk through the Christmas story, which will feature live goats and donkeys along with a full cast.

Marilyn Zehr, Minister with the United Churches, says it is important to participate in it live to feel what it was like for Mary and Joseph. Zehr adds that it will allow people to get out into the outdoors and have a family gathering that is safe from COVID-19. It will be the second year the performance has been put on, which Zehr says was brought on by the limitations of the Pandemic.

The event is free, but donations are welcome in support of the United Churches. They will support the four churches in Maynooth, Lake St. Peter, Whitney and Madawaska. To reserve your slot, you can call Zehr at 613-334-0668 or email [email protected]
