If you are having worries about your child starting kindergarten, North Hastings Children’s Services will be able to help.
The School Readiness Program will provide a way to get kids prepared for school, and resources for both children and parents. The program is offered on Tuesdays via Zoom with an option to pick up a learning kit. This will help kids develop skills like early literacy, numeracy skills, as well as things like sharing, taking turns and adjusting to school activities.
As part of the program, the School Readiness Bundle provides things like pencil cases, markers, scissors and many other things kids will need at school. Parent resources are included in the bundle, including parenting information, tip sheets, and program information for EarlyON.
