If you took a wild turkey during the spring hunting season, the deadline to report it is coming soon.
Ontario Fish and Wildlife say reports are due by Tuesday, June 14th. The spring wild turkey season ended on May 31st.
Reporting of tags can now be done online by going to the Ontario Fish and Wildlife website, and selecting “submit hunter report”. Hunters will be asked if they harvested an animal, what type it was, what Wildlife Management Unit they hunted in and any observations they had during their hunt. This information will be used to monitor wildlife populations and make changes to seasons and tag limits.
You can also submit a report by calling 1-800-288-1155.
