After two years of social distancing worries, Santa is making his return to North Hastings Children’s Services on Saturday.
The organization is hosting its Breakfast with Santa event from 8 to 10 a.m. at the building at 20 Hastings Heritage Way.
Before the pandemic, Breakfast with Santa was a popular event for young families. Its return has been well received as dozens of families have already registered to come out, says Early Years Manager Nicole Beaudin. But there’s still time for others to register.Â
“It’s a special opportunity, because it’s on a Saturday, so the whole family gets to come out. Parents are so busy and working through the week. So it’s a nice opportunity to come together, have a delicious breakfast and have a visit with Santa.”
“Living in small community, we don’t have malls where you can see Santa whenever. …. A little magic during Christmas.”
Kids who attend will receive a gift, and there’s plenty of photo opportunities for parents. The free event is made possible with United Way Hastings & Prince Edward funding.
Although the event is free, Children’s Services ask families to register through a link on its website.Â
