The boundaries to our federal election riding could change soon.
A report tabled in the House of Commons earlier this month proposes that the riding of Hastings-Lennox & Addington get bigger.
The new boundary would extend west, and allow part of Highlands East, including the village of Cardiff, to become part of the riding.
Further south, the municipalities of North Kawartha and Havelock-Belmont Methuen would also become part of the riding.

It would also have a new name; Hastings-Lennox and Addington-Tyendinaga.
The new riding could become official by April 2024.
