Bancroft’s new warming centre is one step closer to opening.
Hastings County has announced that the mobile unit that’ll house the new facility is scheduled for transport from Belleville later this month.
It was originally meant to arrive in December, but “logistical pieces to the move at play” that were out of the county’s control caused a delay, according to Community Services Director Deborah Headley.
Site preparations in Bancroft are set to begin next week, so the warming centre can open as quickly as possible.
The unit is scheduled to arrive on January 23rd.
