OPP traffic stop leads to drug trafficking charges

Members of the Bancroft Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid drug trafficking charges after a traffic stop in the Town of Bancroft. 

On March 1, 2024, shortly after midnight, officers conducted the stop in the Town of Bancroft.

As a result of the investigation, one person was arrested and charged with possesion of Fentenanyl and methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, as well as unauthorized Possession of a Weapon. 

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at Court in Bancroft later this month.
