The town of Bancroft has released a new Tax Incentive Grant that will help those who build on or develop their property in a way that results in a tax increase.
The grant will give homeowners up to a 60 % rebate on the difference in their taxes prior to building and after. It goes for a period of 4 years.
This is the second program of its kind and will run from 2024-2027.It also ran from 2019-2023.
To be eligible the owners must have a valid building permit issued after January 1, 2024. The activation window runs for 4 years.
