The Bancroft Jets had some championship games this weekend.
According to Jets Secretary Meredith Card, the U9’s won the C-division Championship 2-1 when they faced off against the Center Hastings Grizzlies.
The U15’s also had great news from their championship A game in Warkworth, facing off against the Brighton Bolts:
“Our Bancroft U15 Jets won their A championship series last night” Card happily told MooseFM.
When asked how they players were feeling about the win she replied,
“Oh I’m sure they were really excited”
The final score for the game was 4-3 for the Jets.
Also worth noting, the U9’s tied their game against the league champions. They were the only team all season to accomplish that.
