People affected by the flood a few years ago will be happy to hear there will be new disaster recovery assistance programs for the province. The current program will be replaced by two news ones. Starting in early 2016, municipalities will have four months to request provincial assistance rather than 14 days. The province also says they will no longer require communities to fundraise in order to get matching funds.
