There is a social media campaign under way to organize protests against hydro rates across Ontario on April 4th. A Facebook page “Join the fight against hydro rates” is asking for volunteers to organize local protests. Local business owner Vince Childs of Bancroft Dollar Plus is organizing a protest against the rising Hydro One rates for Bancroft. He tells the Moose that the protest will be at Millennium Park in Bancroft on April 4th from 10:00 a.m. until Noon. Childs also says there will be a copy of a petition by local MPP Todd Smith, against the rising electricity rates, available for signing.
