Bancroft OPP charge Kingston resident with impaired driving

A Kingston resident has been charged with impaired operation after a traffic stop in Bancroft on Monday.

Bancroft OPP said they were conducting a traffic patrol in the town at about 8:30 p.m. when they noticed a vehicle moving in a suspicious manner.

An approved screening device was used during the stop, as a result the 46-year-old driver was transported to the detachment for further testing and later charged.

The driver’s vehicle was impounded for seven days and their license suspended for 90 days.

The matter will be addressed at Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft next month.
